Eagle Coach Chris "Happy" Freeman avoids the clutches of Peter "Commish" Campion

As the 2006 NWPAFL football season is coming to a close there are quite a number of important events and dates to consider. I am encouraging all players to be available for the following events:

Saturday September 9 at 2:00 p.m. will see game 8 of the Eagles V's Cougars series. This game will be played at the Eagles home ground at the picturesque Burnaby Lake Rugby Club. A win for the Eagles will see the series tied at 4 games a piece. This is a must win, it will make the last game the Grand Final exactly what it should be, the most important match of the season.

The NWPAFL Grand Final is tentatively scheduled for Saturday September 23 at a venue to be announced. There will be more information to come on this event. Players are encouraged to contact Coach, Chris Freeman at 604 988 8734 or drop him an email at freemo76@hotmail.com or talk to him at training about your availablity for these two huge games.

The AFL Grand Final will be shown live at The Burnaby Lake Rugby Club on Friday September 29. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. admission is $5 There will be food available to buy as well as an assortment of raffles. This is a huge fundraiser for the Eagles so bring all your mates along for the big night. The Grand Final starts just after 9:00 p.m.
