Pre-Season Training

The Burnaby Eagles have announced their training schedule for the remainder of the pre-season. Please find below the dates and venues of when the Eagles players will meet to refine their skills and increase their cardio prior to the seasons start. With a large team list this year it is important to get to these session and show your commitment priot to the first team selection night on March 27th.

Saturday March 1st - Burnaby Lakes grass fields 3-5pm
Saturday March 8th - Burnaby Lakes grass fields 3-5pm
Thursday March 13th - Venue TBA - 7-9pm
2 week Easter break
Thursday March 27th - Venue TBA -6-7:30pm - Then back to the Hop and Vine for Team selection

Freemo rushed back to Aus for surgery

The former Eagles super coach with an amazing 80% winning record - the best by far in the league - is being rushed back to Australia this week for surgery. Freemo, who is described in Melbourne as the 2nd biggest Collingwood Magpie supporter (behind Joffa), has had his surgery leaked by the Fox Sports media. After speaking to one of Melissa Freeman's friends it appears she is very excited to be getting back to Australia. Unfortunatley Chris & Mel were unavailbale for comment. School is in Session

Supercoach Dale "Tickets" Wakefield will be leading the Eagles through another training session at L.A. Matheson Secondary School in Surrey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 21. After some skill work with the Sherrin Colin Hiltonovitch is keen to kick, what he calls the "real football" around and hopes to secure the inaugural Eagles Golden Boot Award. Hiltonovitch often talks about his glory days with Preston Makedonia in the old National Soccer League back in the late eighties and early nineties. Not to be outdone Chris Fremanopolous also has a stunning soccer resume. He was two-time player of the year with the South Melbourne Hellas and will certainly give Hiltonovitch a run for his money. Make sure you come out and get your hands on the Sherrin and watch all the wogball action.
