In The Eagles Nest (Coach Freeman's Address)

This week is the opening game between the Burnaby Eagles and the Vancouver Cougars. So what can we expect from the eagles this week in the first game .... well a lot of determination and toughness at the football!

The Eagles welcome all the new boys to the club and look forward to a big year from them. We will be without star CHB Pete Taylor who will be in Montreal on buisness and veteran backman Myk Aussie who is still in Calgary looking for a wife to marry! The Club would like to wish Damien Chatfield all the best as he moves on and begins more of his travels around the world, a big game this week to finish off would be great mate and thanks again. The captain and vice-captains of the club will be anounced after training and lets get right behind these guys who will lead by example all year.

Lets start by having a big training run this thursday and take that feeling into saturday!

CARN THE EAGLES!

Eagles clan still prominant in Tipping Comp!

Myk Aussie of the Burnaby Eagles heads the list of current players/supporters in the Footy tipping group after 4 Rounds as he sits in 2nd place behind ex-Bc Footy playing legend John Hoad. Future Canadian Aussie Rules Stars!

Take a look at the new website created for the North Delta Junior Aussie Rules Football League. This is the only kids league in North America and we now have over 120 kids and 12 teams in age groups of U11, U13 and U16's. The website is a bit of fun and shows updated scores and standings. Round 1 from last weekend had some pics taken and they are on the site too ... look closely for 3 ex- Eagles/Cougar players that are still somewhat connected to the main senior club who are helping with coaching/umpiring in the league.
